FASTag without Registration Certificate
When we purchase a new car, sometimes we receive the delivery with the registration certificate, and sometimes, we receive the car delivered with a temporary number. In such cases, it takes a while to receive a registration certificate from the RTO. During such a period, you might have to apply for a FASTag without a Registration Certificate (number plate).
You can get a FASTag even if you have yet to receive your registration certification based on your Vehicle Identification Number, which is also known as Chassis Number. However, the vehicle number must be updated within 180 days of FASTag registration.
Note: Please note that vehicle numbers must be updated within 90 days for the tags issued before 1st April 2024.

Step 3: Then, you will get redirected to a page where you will have to fill in some of the essential details, including vehicle details. Here, you will have to enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), also known as Chassis Number, instead of Registration Number and proceed.
Step 4: Post submission, you will have to make the payment based on the type of vehicle you own.
Step 5: Once you have completed your payment, you will receive a copy of your FASTag.
Step 6: Post verification, your FASTag will be delivered to your address.
