As per Hyundai India, since 2015 the marque has sold one Creta SUV every five minutes.
Hyundai India today registered the 1 millionth sale of the Creta. Launched first in 2015, the mid-size SUV has been one of the most successful passenger vehicle to go on sale in India.
For the past 8 years, Hyundai kept on updating and refining the Creta badge which further helped seal its position as one of the best-selling models. This popularity becomes all the more crucial when you take into account the Creta’s competition at the moment which includes German models like the Kushaq and Taigun and the Kia Seltos (another popular Korean SUV).
“With over 1 million CRETA on Indian roads, the ‘CRETA’ brand has reaffirmed its legacy of being the Undisputed SUV,” said Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd.
Hyundai also recently launched the facelift Creta in India priced between ₹11 lakh and ₹20.15 lakh. In a typical Hyundai fashion, the new Creta is available in several choices. For starters there are three engine and four gearbox options, and with seven trim levels there are a total of 19 different variants on offer. “The recently launched new Hyundai CRETA too has received an overwhelming customer response and crossed 60, 000 bookings since announcement,” added Garg.
