The 2023 Jawa 42 Bobber features an enhanced retro style, coupled with modern features.
Classic Legends has launched the 2023 Jawa 42 Bobber in India at Rs. 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Available in Jasper Red Dual Tone, Moonstone White, Mystic Copper, and, of course, Black Mirror colours, the 2023 Jawa 42 Bobber has enhanced its retro style and coupled it with modern features. Drawing inspiration from the premium Triumph Bonneville Bobber, the Jawa 42 Bobber offers an affordable alternative tailored to the Indian market.
Originally introduced in 2020, the 2023 model brings several refinements in terms of design and technology. The Bobber, built upon the Perak platform, exhibits characteristic bobber styling, including a shortened tail and a concealed rear monoshock. Notable changes include a new LED headlight, replacing the previous headlight mask, and a fully digital instrument cluster, adding a contemporary touch to its retro aesthetics.
Practicality is enhanced with the inclusion of USB Type A and C charging ports for various devices. Upon mounting the bike, riders will notice the reshaped fuel tank, designed to provide better knee grip. The tank has been slightly reduced in size to accommodate shorter riders, and the saddle's height is adjustable, ensuring comfort for riders of all sizes. Additionally, the Jawa 42 Bobber sports a longer front fender and chrome accents on the engine and exhaust, enhancing its classic, retro-inspired appearance.
In terms of performance, the 2023 Jawa 42 Bobber retains its 334 cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine, which develops 29.51 bhp and 32.74 Nm of torque, offering sufficient power for both city and highway riding. To comply with the latest emissions regulations, the 2023 Jawa 42 Bobber is equipped with an OBD-2 system that displays an error warning on the dashboard if it detects an unusually high level of emissions from the exhaust.
