As Hero MotoCorp gears up for the new 2024 Destini 125 Xtec launch, the largest manufacturer of two-wheelers in India is warming up to the occasion by releasing several teaser images. The latest teaser reveals several significant updates to the Destini 125. Hero MotoCorp had previously filed patents for the scooter, hinting at various design modifications that are now evident in the teaser video. The new Hero 125cc scooter is expected to go on sale in the next couple of weeks.
The 2024 Destini 125 Xtec showcases a thoroughly redesigned front end, featuring new LED position lamps framed with golden trims that also function as turn indicators. The scooter now boasts an all-LED headlamp with a new bi-projector setup and an H-shaped LED Daytime Running Light (DRL), a design element seen across recent Hero models.
Previous leaks have highlighted additional changes, including entirely new body panels, updated alloy wheels, sleek all-black front forks, a reworked exhaust cover plate, and dual-tone side mirrors. The seat design has been refreshed, and the LED tail lamps have been redesigned. Patent images also suggest the addition of a new backrest for the pillion rider.
The updated Destini 125 will join Hero’s Xtec lineup, which implies it will come equipped with several advanced features. Among these, a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity for calls and text alerts is expected. The scooter may also include turn-by-turn navigation via a dedicated smartphone app. Hero will likely continue offering its i3S start/stop system with the new model.
In terms of mechanical updates, the new Destini 125 will likely retain its current engine specifications, with the addition of a rear disc brake featuring ByBre calipers, as shown in the teaser. The scooter will be powered by a 124.6 cc engine producing 9 bhp and 10.4 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT automatic transmission. It will maintain its front telescopic forks and a rear mono-shock suspension.
