Triumph Motorcycles has crossed the milestone of one lakh motorcycles on Indian roads, marking a key moment in the brand’s growth story in the country. The achievement comes just over two years after Triumph began its partnership with Bajaj Auto in 2023 to expand its presence in India’s mid-capacity and premium motorcycle segments.
The iconic British brand’s collaboration with Bajaj Auto has played a significant role in accelerating the brand’s expansion in India. The partnership combines Triumph’s global engineering and brand heritage with Bajaj’s manufacturing capabilities, research and development expertise, and extensive distribution network.
Speaking on the achievement, Manik Nangia, President, Probiking, Bajaj Auto, said, “Reaching
1 lakh Triumph motorcycles on Indian roads within just 2.5 years is a proud milestone for us.
Triumph customers are discerning riders who have strongly endorsed our engineering with our
modern classic motorcycles.”

Since the partnership began in the second quarter of 2023, Triumph has rapidly scaled its presence across the country. The brand now operates through more than 230 dealerships and retail outlets, covering over 200 towns nationwide. This network expansion has helped the company reach a broader customer base while strengthening its footprint in India’s growing premium motorcycle market.
A key contributor to this milestone has been Triumph’s locally manufactured 400cc motorcycle range, which was introduced as part of the collaboration with Bajaj Auto. These motorcycles are produced in India and exported to 18 international markets, including Japan, Australia, Mexico, Taiwan, and South Korea.

The export strategy reflects the global acceptance of the India-made models and highlights the country’s growing role as a manufacturing hub for mid-capacity motorcycles. The 400 cc platform has also helped Triumph tap into a wider segment of riders who are entering the premium motorcycle category for the first time. Currently, Triumph offers five derivatives on the locally-developed 400 cc platform including Speed 400, Speed T4, Scrambler 400 X, Scrambler 400 XC, and Thruxton 400.
Beyond product launches, Triumph has focused on cultivating a strong riding culture in India. The brand has organised several rider engagement initiatives, including World of Triumph, Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, and themed riding events such as Triumph Tiger Trails, Scrambler Rides, Bike Nights, and curated rides through the Western Ghats. These initiatives have helped the company build a community of enthusiasts while strengthening brand loyalty among existing owners.
