New colours and Euro5+ compliance are the highlights of this update
Honda has unveiled the new 2024 CB125R motorcycle in Europe. The 2024 update focuses on emissions compliance and rider experience. The bike now meets the strict Euro5+ emission standards, ensuring cleaner operation. Marketed towards young riders,it retains the familiar 124.9 cc engine, adhering to the A1 licence restrictions.
Enthusiasts will appreciate the addition of a vibrant 5-inch TFT instrument display. This full-colour screen offers excellent readability. It has a user-friendly layout displaying a speedometer, RPM gauge, gear indicator, fuel gauge, and clock. A new switch on the left handlebar simplifies navigating the display while riding.
The 2024 Honda CB125R retains the proven formula of its predecessor in terms of engine performance. Power comes from a fuel-efficient 124.9 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with a four-stroke DOHC layout and four valves. This setup delivers a peak power output of 14.7 bhp and 11 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The 2024 CB125R maintains its sporty design with a neo-retro flair. Four new colour options cater to diverse preferences: Matte Cynos Gray Metallic for a bold look, Leaf Sea Blue Metallic and Pearl Splendor Red for a sporty feel, and Pearl Cool White for a classic touch.
The 2024 Honda CB125R is currently available in Europe. Pricing details haven't been announced yet. While an official launch for the Indian market hasn't been confirmed, the bike's sporty neo-retro design suggests potential success if offered at a competitive price point. Here, it would face competition from established rival like the KTM 125 Duke.
