The new Vitpilen 801 also ushers in a brand-new headlight design, which makes other Huskies look a bit dated.
Husqvarna has unveiled the updated 2025 Vitpilen 801 for global markets. The latest iteration of the neo-roadster marks a significant evolution in the company's street-focused lineup, with one of the biggest standout features being its new distinctive front design. A new bi-LED projector headlight, encased in an oval LED ring, creates a modern interpretation of the classic Vitpilen look. It does make the current Svartpilen 801 look a bit dated. However, we expect this new design will influence future models in the Husqvarna range.
At the heart of the Vitpilen 801 sits the same 799 cc parallel-twin engine that delivers 105 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 87 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The powerplant, derived from KTM's LC8c family, is paired with a six-speed gearbox and gets an advanced electronics package that includes three preset riding modes and one customizable option.

Standard features include cornering traction control, IMU-based systems, and a TFT display with smartphone connectivity. Buyers can also opt for additional features like a quick-shifter and a Dynamic mode that offers 10 levels of traction control adjustment, 5 levels of anti-wheelie, 3 levels of throttle control, and Motorcycle Slip Regulation (MSR).
While sharing its platform with the recently launched Svartpilen 801, the new Vitpilen distinguishes itself as a street-oriented machine. Both models utilize the same chrome-molybdenum steel chassis and WP Apex suspension, with Husqvarna-branded J.Juan four-piston calipers handling braking duties.

Despite its street-focused design, the new Vitpilen shares several components with its Svartpilen counterpart, including the fuel tank and seat design. This strategic commonality streamlines production while offering riders distinct styling options within the same performance category.
We wish Husqvarna had brought these big bikes to India as well. However, the Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 250 never really took off like their KTM counterparts in terms of sales. And even now, the Huskies are far fewer in number than the KTMs. Given this track record, Husqvarna's chances of bringing the bigger Vitpilen and Svartpilens to India will be as rare as hen's teeth.
