Hailed as an incredible track tool, the Ninja ZX-4RR sticks out with its premium suspension components.
The new 2024 iteration of the Kawasaki ZX-4RR has finally made its way to our shores after it’s global launch last year. Slotting above the standard ZX-4R, the limited edition bike will be brought to our country in limited numbers via the CBU route (Complete Built Unit). Thereby, this super sports bike will command quite a steep premium sticker price of ₹9.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Visibly the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR boasts the same aesthetics, in this case, body panels, as the ZX-4R. For that extra ‘R’ it gets you premium 37 mm USD Showa SFF-BP fork with preload adjustability, while the rear fully adjustable Showa BRFC-lite gas-charged monoshock suspension is derived from the bigger Ninja ZX-10R.
Aside from that, there are no significant upgrades. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR is built around the same steel trellis frame. Similarly, the 290 mm semi-floating twin discs with monobloc four-piston callipers and the 220 mm disc with a single-piston disc caliper are same as the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R too.
It might be powered by the same 399 cc, liquid-cooled, inline-4 engine but in the Ninja ZX-4RR it produces 76.4 bhp and 37.6 Nm and gets a bidirectional quickshifter as standard. Making this mill all the more exciting is its high-revving nature, which at 14,000 rpm is quite a lot. What’s more, just like the bigger Ninja H2Rs, this small 400 cc Ninja ZX-4RR is also available with a RAM air intake that boosts the power up to 78.7 bhp.
Feature-wise, there are four ride modes on offer here which can be toggled on the 4.3-inch TFT screen. This instrument cluster is the same as you find in the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R, and it gets Bluetooth connectivity, for call/SMS alerts via the MyKawasaki app.
But what makes this bike all the more special is the fact that it does not have any direct rival in India at all. So, if you want to buy one and have the deep pockets for it, we’d suggest you head to your nearest Kawasaki showroom as soon as possible, for since the bike will be brought in limited numbers, so chances of owning one will become slimmer day by day.
