It was last year that Porsche India brought the third-generation Panamera to our shores. Now after several months and very well into 2024, the Stuttgart-based carmaker has commenced its deliveries. Priced from ₹1.69 crore (ex-showroom, India) onwards, the new updated Panamera is ₹1 lakh more expensive than before. So let's do a quick recap as to what all the updates are that Porsche has reintroduced with the Panamera.
The 3rd-gen Porsche Panamera is now available with a dual-chamber two-valve air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard. The two-valve damper and two-chamber air-spring set-up now give a wider breadth of ability to balance between sporty and comfortable ride quality. As a result, the 2024 Panamera can now accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 5.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 272 kmph.
While fundamentally and aesthetically the same as before, Porsche has updated the front fascia of the Panamera by adding a new air intake just above the number plate. Additionally, Porsche has equipped the Panamera with standard Matrix LED headlights, which also get a dedicated lane brightening feature, and boasts an illumination range of up to 600 metres. The window line has also been redesigned to reinforce its sedan character.
The Porsche Panamera carries forward the same interior layout as we have seen in the Cayenne. Thereby, the new installations on the dashboard include the 12.6-inch full digital screen with a new 10.9-inch infotainment screen and an option passenger screen. Additionally, the gear selector has also been moved right next to the steering wheel to open up more space. A cooled smartphone compartment with inductive charging, and an improved fine dust filter with a GPS-supported, automatic air-recirculation function are the other highlights of the 2024 Porsche Panamera’s
The new 2024 Porsche Panamera will be sold in India as a completely built unit (CBU) and imported directly from its Leipzig factory. In this segment, it only has the Mercedes-Benz GT63 SE Performance as its sole rival, and the German-sedan is priced at ₹3.30 crore (ex-showroom, India).
