2024 Yamaha Fascino S Gets A New Colour And Feature

Yamaha is revamping the 2024 Fascino lineup by introducing a new colour and slight changes to the existing colours. The company has also introduced a new 'Answer Back’ feature on the app. Prices are ₹300 higher than the existing models, the Yamaha Fascino S starts at ₹93,730 (Ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Matte Red and Matte Black options, and ₹94,530 (Ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Dark Matte Blue variant. 

The centrepiece of the update is the introduction of a bold new colour – Matte Red. This is expected to replace the existing Vivid Red, offering a sportier look for riders. Existing colour options, Dark Matte Blue and Matte Black, also receive some changes. The Dark Matte Blue variant gains a touch of sophistication with the addition of chrome accents, while the Matte Black sheds its former gold accents for an all-black look. 

The ‘Answer Back’ feature uses the dedicated Yamaha mobile app to let riders locate their parked Yamaha Fascino in crowded areas. This lets them beep their scooter remotely but the catch here is that the scooter needs to be in Bluetooth connectivity range. 

The engine remains unchanged for the Yamaha Fascino S, carrying over the proven 125cc air-cooled, fuel-injected (Fi) engine with Yamaha's Blue Core hybrid technology. The engine produces a maximum power of 8.2 bhp at 6500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.3 Nm at 5000 rpm. This engine setup offers a silent start system, power assist for enhanced acceleration, and an automatic Stop & stop-and-start system for optimised fuel efficiency.

The Fascino S retains its familiar dimensions. It rolls on 10-inch wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres.The suspension system employs telescopic fork and a monoshock unit.  This variant gets disc brake at the front along with CBS. 

While the "Answer Back" feature adds a touch of convenience, it might be considered a gimmick by some riders who are comfortable with traditional methods of locating their scooter. However, the introduction of the Matte Red colour is a clear winner. Overall, these updates, particularly the new colour option, keep the Yamaha Fascino S fresh and appealing for the 2024 model year.
