The new Bajaj Chetak 35 series will be available in three variants, however, prices for only two have been revealed.
Bajaj Auto has launched a new variant of the Chetak called 35 series. It is powered by a new, bigger 3.5 kWh battery. Priced from ₹1.20 lakh onwards, the new Chetak 35 series will compete against the likes of the TVS iQube and Ola S1 Pro as its immediate competition.
Built around a completely new frame, wherein the battery is now located in the footboard. Due to the increase in battery size, range has also increased too 153 km (IDC-claimed) and yet with a 950W charger on board, the battery takes just 3 hours to charge from 0-80 per cent. The battery comes paired to a 4.2 kW motor which is lighter than before and is good for a top speed of 73 kmph. There are two ride modes on offer here – Eco and Sports (available with TecPac) – so all in all, the new Chetak will be ideal for city usage.
Aesthetically, the new Bajaj Chetak 35 series carries forward the same design ethos as the rest of the Chetaks. However, to distinguish this new variant there are new colour options available here. Practicality has been further enhanced for the new year, as the Chetak now gets a larger 35-litres of underseat storage. Due to which Bajaj had to increase the seat length from before by almost 80 mm.
When it comes to its features, the new Bajaj Chetak 35 series debuts a brand new TFT cluster. This new unit supports Bluetooth connectivity, along with that it also comes with maps integrated to it, accept/ reject call on the go, music control and much more. Safety features like geo fence, and speed lock settings have been introduced as well.
Deliveries for the new Bajaj Chetak 35 series will start from the end of this month. It will be available in three variants, 3501, 3502, and 3503. The 3502 is priced at ₹1.20 lakh, while the 3501 variant will set you back by ₹1.27 lakh. We are yet to confirm the price of the 3503 variant though. Bajaj is offering the new Chetak 35 series with 3 years of warranty or 50,000 km.
