The upcoming iteration of the Hero Glamour 125 is slated to be the most feature-loaded 125 cc commuter bike to go on sale.
A few weeks back, photos of a new Hero Glamour 125 with cruise control went viral on social media. Now the brand has released its first teaser as it gears up to launch the same later this week on August 18. The not-so-new Hero Glamour 125 is expected to undergo a radical shift, both in terms of design and boasting a long list of features.
Judging by the teaser, the upcoming Hero Glamour 125 is expected to look posh and sporty than the existing range. The tail light looks quite sharp and aggressive, with a similar pattern as seen on the Hero Karizma XMR 210 and the Hero Xtreme 250R. The turn indicators are also different and they are all LED units. A new seat will also be in the offing. Plus, a fully-digital TFT unit, similar to the 4.2-inch TFT available with the Hero XPulse 210 Pro variant, indicates several connectivity features like call/SMS alert, and turn-by-turn navigation can also be on offer here.

But the biggest talking point is the inclusion of cruise control. The addition of this feature may seem like an unnecessary luxury on a 125 cc bike, but it holds the potential to be a gamechanger. How does it work, we can’t wait to find out.
The existing 124.7 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine produces 10.39 bhp and 10.4 Nm in the Hero Glamour and 10.7 bhp and 10.6 Nm in the Glamour Xtec. In both cases, the engine peaks at 7,500 rpm. Which tune Hero will choose for the upcoming Glamour 125 remains to be seen.

As for its price, we expect the upcoming Hero Glamour 125 to slot in as the flagship Glamour. The current range is priced from ₹87,198 to ₹95,098 (ex-showroom, Delhi) with the most expensive variant being the Glamour 125 Xtec with disc brake. Given the slew of features the Glamour 125 badge is slated to gain, we expect the upcoming bike to cross the ₹1 lakh barrier. In this range, it will compete against its stablemate, the Hero Xtreme 125R (starts from ₹95,000) and the newly launched Honda CB125 Hornet (starts from ₹1.02 lakh, ex-showroom).
