The best-selling scooter in India gains a bunch of new features
Honda has been on a spree of updating its portfolio, however, one scooter was missing from the list and it was the Honda Activa. The Japanese brand has given its bread and butter product a much-need upgrade as it launched the 2025 Honda Activa with prices starting at ₹80,950 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Honda Activa last received an upgrade in 2020 when the Activa 6G was introduced.
The new Honda Activa is available in three variants - STD, DLX and H-smart and is offered in six colour options - Pearl Precious White, Decent Blue Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Mat Axis Gray Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue. The 2025 Honda Activa now comes equipped with a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and gets features such as turn-by-turn navigation, call/message alerts and also a USB Type-C charger. One of the biggest drawbacks of the Honda Activa was the lack of features in comparison to the TVS Jupiter 110 and the above upgrades have made it more attractive for customers.
On the mechanical front, the 110 cc, single-cylinder engine is now OBD2B compliant adhering to the latest emission norms. The engine produces 7.88 bhp and 9.05 Nm of torque. The other new addition is the inclusion of the idling stop system to improve the fuel efficiency of the Honda scooter. The base DLX variant now also comes equipped with alloy wheels whereas the older variant got basic pressed steel wheels.
Introducing the New Activa, Mr. Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, “The Activa has always been at the forefront of redefining mobility for Indian customers. With its latest 2025 iteration, it continues to embody the perfect blend of innovation, convenience, and reliability that has made it India’s most loved scooter. The addition of the TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and the OBD2B-compliant engine demonstrates our commitment to staying ahead of the curve in terms of technology and sustainability. We are confident that the new Activa will not only elevate the riding experience for our customers but also reinforce Honda’s leadership in the Indian scooter market.”
