2025 Honda Scoopy Design Patented In India

Honda continues to patent the designs of scooters it sells in international markets in India. The latest to join the list is the 2025 iteration of the Scoopy. It is powered by the same 110 cc engine that powers the smaller Dio and Activa in India. But with a different state of tune in the Scoopy, the engine produces 9 bhp and 9.2 Nm, as opposed to the 7.8 bhp and 9.05 Nm it produces in the Activa.

Honda first patented the Scoopy in India in 2022, and the latest iteration has not changed much either. It features the same round LED headlight, tail light, and DRL. For 2025, the scooter gets a new fully digital LCD dash with an eco-indicator, fuel consumption, service indicator, etc. Beyond that, the overall scooter has remained unchanged.

Honda received patent clearances for the NPF 125 and PCX160 earlier this year. Both were patented for Intellectual Property purposes. However, this design protection does not mandate the launch of these scooters in the country. Honda is already the second most popular two-wheeler manufacturer in the country, and the Activa range continues to rake in solid sales numbers, leading the scooter sales charts in the country.
