The baby Ninja gets new colours and some hardware upgrades to further enhance visual appeal.
Kawasaki India has introduced the 2025 iteration of the Ninja 300 at ₹3.43 lakh (ex-showroom India), which is the same as the 2024 version. As has been the case with most Kawasaki updates so far this year, the Ninja 300 also gains new colours for a fresher appeal. The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 300 will now be offered in Lime Green, Candy Lime Green, and Metallic Moondust Grey. All three shades have been carried over from before, but the livery design on them has been revised to help make the bike stand out. With the Lime Green option, the overall design and appeal is very similar to the Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition that launched earlier this year.
Apart from new colours, Kawasaki has also updated the windshield, which is larger than before. Plus, there are new projector headlamps and fresh rubber, which claim to be grippier than before.
Aside from these, the rest of the bike remains the same. It continues to be powered by the same 296 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing 38.9 bhp and 26.1 Nm. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper-assist clutch available as standard. While the Ninja 300 remains an affordable twin-cylinder motorcycle, it is hilariously outdated and doesn’t stand a chance against peers. In international markets, the bike has been discontinued for over half a decade. And yet, Kawasaki India’s persistence with the model for India is disappointing. Hopefully, if it puts in as much effort to localise the Ninja 500 and reduce its asking price that would make it a better suited rival to the Aprilia RS 457, Yamaha R3 and the KTM RC 390, whose third-generation is likely to be shown at EICMA 2025.
