There's also a special Qala edition that gets a unique livery.
Vespa India has kickstarted its 2025 campaign in the country by revamping its scooters with new features. It is available in two variants – Vespa and Vespa S – priced at ₹1.32 lakh and ₹1.36 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively for the 125 cc version. There is a new Tech series also available, which cost an astronomical ₹1.92 lakh and ₹1.96 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi) for the standard and S trims. The Italians have also introduced a new “Qala” iteration which is characterised by intricate design works on front and rear aprons, as well as on the seat. Despite this exclusive touchup, it is priced the same as the Tech trim at ₹1.92 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) onwards.
Both the 124.5 cc engine and the 149.5 cc single-cylinder engine have been updated to comply with the latest BS6 Phase-II emission norms. Due to which performance has increased slightly in both with the 124.5 cc engine now producing 9.38 bhp and 10.1 Nm, while the 149.5 cc engine now producing 11.26 bhp and 11.66 Nm.
With the Tech versions, Vespa has debuted a fully-digital 5-inch TFT screen that supports smartphone connectivity with navigation (turn-by-turn). This trim also gets keyless ignition, which Vespa wishes should justify its high asking price. However, it is just too pricey to recommend, especially considering the 150 cc versions will cost as much as a 200-250 cc motorcycle.
Aesthetically, the standard Vespa variants looks the same as before, if not for the new colour options which include – Verde Amabile, Rosso Red, Pearl White, Nero Black, Azzurro Provenza, Blue and Pearl White, and Orange and Pearl White. Whereas, its subsequent S trim is available in shades of Verde Ambizioso (Matte), Oro, Pearl White, Nero Black (Matte), Giallo Yellow (Matte), Arancio Impulsivo, Red and Pearl White, and Black and Pearl White. The Vespa Tech models are available with just two colour options though – Energico Blue and Grigio Grey. While the S Tech variant can be had in just Nero Black (Matte) and Pearl White shades only.
Vespa’s latest portfolio will be available across all dealerships from February 25 onwards.
