The new MT-15 gets updated with new features and colour shades.
Yamaha expanded its 155 cc motorcycle by launching the 2025 edition of the popular MT-15. The bike is officially called the MT-15 Version 2.0 in our market and the base price for the bike starts at ₹1,69,500 lakh and the most expensive variant retails for ₹1,80,500 (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom, Delhi). As part of the update, the 2025 Yamaha MT-15 features a TFT instrument console, something that we had already seen on the Yamaha R15.

On the technology front, the new motorcycle also gets updated with turn-by-turn navigation and riders can also access Bluetooth connectivity with Yamaha’s Y-Connect mobile app. Via this app, riders can access data such as parking location, fuel consumption and malfunction alerts. The Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 DLX is available in a new shade of Ice Storm, whereas the base variant is available with a new colour option of Metallic Silver Cyan. Apart from the above colours, the Yamaha bike is offered with Metallic Black and Vivid Violet Metallic.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Itaru Otani, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies said, “The MT-15 Version 2.0 has carved a strong identity in the street-naked segment with its aggressive styling, performance-oriented engineering, and everyday versatility. Ever since we introduced the colour TFT Display with Turn-By-Turn Navigation feature on the popular R15M, we received consistent demand from MT-15 customers for similar advancements. The 2025 update reflects our commitment to addressing these expectations—with advanced features and new youthful colours that enhance both visual appeal and rider engagement. With these updates, Yamaha continues to deliver motorcycles that resonate with young, dynamic riders seeking a balance of thrill and practicality.”

Apart from the new colours and TFT console, there has been no mechanical updates on the motorcycle. It continues to be powered by a 155 cc, single-cylinder and liquid-cooled motor generating 18.2 bhp and 14.1 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch and it’s also available with a traction control system. The MT-15 doesn’t have any direct rival owing to its premium components and high-revving engine but with respect to pricing, the alternatives include TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Honda CB Hornet 2.0.
