2026 ACKO Drive Awards: The 2026 Premium Modern Classic Motorcycle Winner is the Indian Scout Sport

One of the new categories created for the 2026 edition of the Acko Drive Awards was Premium Modern Classic Motorcycle. Given the sheer number of nominees for Modern Classic bikes and the range of features and price points addressed, our jury of experts felt that the more premium options deserved to be in a separate category, in order to do justice to them all. The Brixton Cromwell 1200, Indian Scout Sport, and Harley-Davidson Street Glide were the only ones that showed up to be evaluated by our jury, but here are all the nominees for the segment:

• Indian Scout Sport
• Harley-Davidson Street Bob
• Harley-Davidson Street Glide
• Harley-Davidson Road Glide
• Harley-Davidson Breakout
• Harley-Davidson Fat Boy
• Harley-Davidson Sportster
• Harley-Davidson Nightster

The bike that surprised the jury the most was the Brixton Cromwell 1200. Some of our jurors were unfamiliar with this brand, but the Cromwell 1200 made itself known with its high-torque twin-cylinder engine. Next up, the BIC track where our jury tests all bikes hands-on wasn’t the best place to ride the behemoth Harley-Davidson Street Glide, but its styling, persona, and features certainly did stand out.

The winner was the Indian Scout Sport. Indian Motorcycle is making a comeback of sorts in the Indian market under its parent company Polaris, and the Scout Sport rose to the occasion. Its 80s styling was a hit among most of the jury members but what made this bike the jury's favourite and earned it the win was its performance, ergonomics and ease of steering for a cruiser from this segment.
