The Honda City facelift will get a completely new face, but other elements of the updated model remain largely unchanged.
New images of the upcoming Honda City facelift have surfaced online ahead of its official launch scheduled for 22 May 2026. While previous sightings focused on the front profile, these latest photographs provide a comprehensive look at the rear design, interior updates, and newly styled alloy wheels.
The updated sedan will be introduced alongside the Honda ZR-V SUV as part of the brand's refreshed product line up for the Indian market.
The exterior of the facelifted model features a connected LED lighting setup at the front and a revised rear bumper that incorporates contrasting black trim with distinct triangular elements. The vehicle also sports a fresh design for its all black alloy wheels, although the LED tail lights and boot lip spoiler appear to be carried over from the existing version.
Inside the cabin, the most notable changes include a larger free standing infotainment screen and the addition of blue ambient lighting across the dashboard. However, the overall design of the dashboard appears to be more or less unchanged.
Mechanically, the manufacturer is expected to retain its current engine options. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque, available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The strong hybrid variant, which uses an e-CVT gearbox, delivers a combined output of 124 bhp.
Pricing for the refreshed City is anticipated to see a slight increase over the current range. Honda City’s key rivals, Skoda Slavia and VW Virtus, are also set to get comprehensive updates this year. Another rival, Hyundai Verna, also received a minor facelift recently.
