Simple Wave Family Electric Scooter to Launch in India on September 2

Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer Simple Energy has announced that its upcoming family electric scooter will be named Simple Wave. Scheduled for official launch on September 2, 2026, the new model marks the company's entry into India's family scooter segment.

The brand stated that the Simple Wave moniker draws inspiration from nature, specifically the hydrodynamic movement of dolphins, and is intended to symbolise fluid urban mobility, inclusivity, and shared family journeys.

Claimed to be designed with a focus on everyday practicality, comfort, and accessibility across diverse rider demographics, the Simple Wave was developed using Simple Energy's in-house research and engineering capabilities. The company develops its vehicle tech, software, chassis, battery packs, and electric motors internally.

Earlier this year, Simple One Gen 2 electric scooter launched in India. This flagship scooter from the brand features a 5 kWh battery pack which delivers an IDC range of 265 km on a single charge. It remains to be seen if the Wave uses the same battery pack.
