Decathlon Sports India has expanded its Rockrider Explore series with three new locally-manufactured mountain bikes.

Decathlon has announced the expansion of its popular Rockrider Explore series with the launch of three new locally manufactured mountain bikes catering to various skill levels.

Tailored specifically to Indian rider morphology, behaviour, and local terrain, the completed lineup comprises the entry-level EXPL 10, the leisure-focused EXPL 20, and the advanced EXPL 140. The flagship EXPL 140 represents a major milestone for the brand as India’s first made in India 29-inch mountain bike, engineered for demanding off-road trails with an aluminium frame, 100 mm hydraulic suspension, 10-speed Shimano CUES gearing, trigger shifters, and disc brakes.

For beginners and leisure riders, the entry-level EXPL 10 features a lightweight aluminium frame weighing approximately 2.25 kg, 660 mm wide handlebars, all-weather tires, and options for both high and low frame configurations.

The mid-tier EXPL 20 is designed for enhanced comfort and control during daily fitness and light trail riding, featuring a steel frame with internal cable routing, mechanical disc brakes, a wider saddle, comfort grips, and ISO-tested components. The entire lineup optimises frame geometry, handlebar width, saddle ergonomics, and custom gearing based on localised testing protocols.

Commenting on the launch, Hans Peter Jensen, Sports Director at Decathlon India, noted that the brand's Indian manufacturing journey began 26 years ago with component exports, culminating in over 97% of Decathlon bikes sold in India being produced locally. He added that the new range provides riders with the technical precision and confidence needed for active living.
