The 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 500 has been upgraded for E20 compliance, and there is no change in power and torque figures.
India Kawasaki Motor has announced the launch of the 2026 Ninja 500, priced at ₹5.76 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 500 has been upgraded for E20 compliance, and there is no change in power and torque figures. The middleweight offering will be available only in the signature Lime Green colour, with deliveries set to commence later this month.
Speaking about the updated Ninja 500, Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors, said, "Long loved around the world as one of the top SuperSport motorcycle brands, the Ninja brand has always stood for excitement, performance, and individuality. With the introduction of the MY26 Ninja 500 in Kawasaki’s iconic Lime Green, combined with aggressive styling that captures people’s attention, we believe riders will feel the true Ninja spirit more closely than ever before. Featuring sporty styling, everyday usability, advanced technology, and a fun, approachable parallel-twin engine, the Ninja 500 offers an exciting riding experience to a wide range of riders. We are confident that this new colour will further enhance the appeal of the Ninja 500 in the Indian market."

The 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 500 is powered by the 451 cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine tuned to produce 44.3 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 42.6 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and comes equipped with an assist and slipper clutch. The bike is underpinned by a lightweight trellis frame with the engine used as a stress member. The Ninja 500 is known for being agile around corners, and nimble enough to make everyday commute easy.

The quintessential Ninja styling remains the same with the twin LED headlamps, full fairing, and a small LED taillight. The ergonomics remain committed but comfortable for long rides, while there’s a LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity. Other cycle parts include telescopic forks at the front with 120 mm of travel, and a horizontal backlink swingarm offering 130 mm of wheel travel. Braking performance comes from discs at either end with dual-channel ABS.
