Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the 2026 GT 4-Door Coupe featuring three axial flux motors, 1,153 bhp, and a claimed 2.4 second 0-100 km/h acceleration time.
Mercedes has taken the wraps off its first proper fully electric AMG vehicle, the GT 63 4-Door Coupe, a technology-laden machine that marks a big departure from the brand's combustion engine legacy.
The new exterior showcases a rather polarising design, but with active aerodynamics dubbed 'Aerokinetics', featuring moveable louvres, a multi-stage rear wing and an extendable rear valance. The car spans over five metres in length and nearly two metres in width, weighing approximately 2,460 kg. Inside, occupants are greeted by a 10.2-inch driver display alongside dual 14-inch screens.
The new electric AMG is powered by three axial flux motors developed by YASA, a British company Mercedes-Benz acquired in 2021. One motor sits at the front and two at the rear, delivering all-wheel drive and advanced torque-vectoring capabilities. In its top-spec '63' variant, the car produces over 700 bhp continuously, with a staggering 1,153 bhp available on demand. This translates to a 0-100 km/h sprint in a claimed 2.4 seconds and a top speed of 300 km/h.

The GT 63 rides on an 800V architecture with an NCMA battery featuring advanced oil cooling. Charging from 10 to 80% takes merely 11 minutes, adding 431 km of range in ten minutes. Total range varies between 595-695 km depending on the variant.
AMG has introduced its 'Race Engineer' system comprising three rotary dials on the centre console. These control throttle response, virtual wheelbase characteristics and a nine-stage traction control system. The car also features multiple driving modes, including a 'ForceSport+' mode with simulated gear shifts and synthesised engine sounds inspired by the AMG GT R.
