Skoda Kushaq continues with the same two turbo petrol engine options — 1.0L and 1.5L — but the former gets a new 8-speed automatic gearbox option.
Skoda launched the updated Kushaq a couple of days ago at a starting price of ₹10.69 lakh (ex-showroom). Available in five trims: Classic, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo, the new Kushaq is available in two turbo petrol offerings — 1.0 TSI or 1.5 TSI — paired with manual or automatic transmissions.
The compact SUV gets some styling and feature updates over the outgoing model. Let us look at what each trim of the facelifted Kushaq has to offer and find out which variant is the most value for money (VFM) buy.
Price: ₹ 10.69 — 12.69 lakh (ex-showroom)
Powertrains: 1.0-litre turbo petrol with 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic
Price: ₹ 14.59 —15.74 lakh (ex-showroom)
Powertrains: 1.0-litre turbo petrol paired with 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic
(Features over Classic+)
Price: ₹ 14.74 — 15.74 lakh (ex-showroom)
Powertrains: 1.0-litre turbo petrol paired with 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic
(Features over Signature)
Price: ₹ 16.79 – 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom)
Powertrains: 1.0-litre turbo petrol paired with 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic; 1.5-litre turbo petrol with 7-speed DSG automatic.
(Features over Sportline)
Price: ₹ 17.89 — 18.99 lakh(ex-showroom)
Powertrains: 1.0-litre turbo petrol paired 8-speed automatic; 1.5-litre turbo petrol with 7-speed DSG automatic
(Features over Prestige)
The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift is well equipped right from the base variant. In fact, the base Classic+ variant turns out to be a very good option to consider if the buyer is on a tight budget as it covers all the necessary features and more such as a touchscreen infotainment system, 7-speaker audio system, electric sunroof, automatic climate control with air purifier, six airbags, etc.
It does miss out on several feel-good features, including a large touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as safety equipment such as a reverse parking camera, TPMS, and front parking sensors. However, considering the next higher Signature trim commands a premium of nearly ₹4 lakh, the trade-off may be justifiable.
