2027 BMW M 1000 RR Revealed With New & Lighter Frame, Motorcycle Range Gets Revisions

BMW Motorrad has revealed its motorcycle lineup for the 2027 model year, and the complete range gets a host of upgrades. The flagship BMW M 1000 RR gets a new and lighter frame for MY2027, making for the biggest change on the model, while the rest of the range gets new colour options, package changes, and revised pricing, depending on the market.

BMW Motorrad says the 2027 M 1000 RR gets a third-generation M lightweight frame, redesigned to optimise stiffness and flexibility. The manufacturer has reduced the wall thickness of the frame by an average of about 30 per cent, which translates to a 1.27 kg weight reduction over the older version. The litre-class machine gets new graphics with the new M Competition Black Storm Metallic colour option, while the M Motorsport Light White colour scheme has been carried over.

Furthermore, there is now a USB charging port on the Dynamic Package and Edition M Sport. The M Package also adds new M forged wheels, while M carbon wheels are available as an alternative package. The BMW M 1000 RR has also announced new track-specific packages - M Track Package and M Track Package II. The former adds the M Laptrigger, Carbon Package, M Billet Package and M carbon wheels. On the other hand, the M Track Package II includes the M Laptrigger, Carbon Package and M Billet Package, but misses out on the carbon wheels.

With respect to other models, the BMW R 12 G/S gets Frozen Brooklyn Grey Metallic replacing the Sand Rover Matte colour option. It also gets connected ride control as part of the Premium Package. The bike also comes with an Enduro Package Pro and Gold Cross Spoke Wheels as optional extras. The BMW K 1600 B and K 1600 GTL get the new Style Edition II with the new  Imperial Blue Metallic paint scheme. The GTL adds a new black Option 719 bench seat and Option 719 forged wheels for the 2027 model year.

The 2027 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure now comes with updated graphics on the  Style GS Trophy Racing Blue Metallic and Option 719 Aurelius Green Metallic Matte colours, while the 2027 S 1000 R gets updated graphics on Black Storm Metallic, Style Sport Bluefire / Mugiallo Yellow, and M Motorsport Light White colours. The package also includes a USB port, GPS Pre and Passenger kit. With the 2027 S 1000 RR, the full-faired bike has dropped the Style Sport Bluestone Metallic colour, and instead gets updated graphics on M Package M Motorsport Light White and a new M Sport Edition M Motorsport Black Storm Metallic paint scheme.

BMW Motorrad India retails nearly most of its models in the country and we expect the 2027 range to arrive in the country towards the end of this year. The bikes arrive in India as full imports.
