The Suzuki e-Access will be manufactured in India and exported to global markets
Over the years at the Auto Expo we have seen many interesting new products being introduced for our market. However, it’s rare to see a global new vehicle being launched or unveiled at the event. But with India becoming one of the most important markets for brands globally, we are witnessing a big shift. Japanese brand Suzuki introduced its new electric scooter – e-Access – for the Indian and global market at the Bharat Mobility Show in Delhi.
The Suzuki e-Access is the first EV offering for our market and the electric scooter will be manufactured in India and exported globally. The fact that the Japanese brand trusted its India operations for such a vital product showcases the manufacturing prowess of our nation. It’s no surprise then that Suzuki e-Access won the Acko Drive Best of Show at Auto Expo 2025 in the Best Global Bike Debut category. The other close contenders were the Hero Xoom 160 and the Hero Xtreme 250R.

The Suzuki e-Access features a 3.07 kWh battery pack and has a claimed range of 95 km. The electric scooter is powered by a 4.1 kW motor producing 15 Nm of torque and has a top speed of 71 kmph, which is good enough for city commutes. The Suzuki e-Access will go on sale in India by March 2025. The Acko Drive Best of Show at Auto Expo 2025 is the brainchild of our Editor-in-Chief Siddharth Vinayak Patankar and was established to appreciate and reward the efforts put in by manufacturers at the event and has been well-appreciated by brands over the years. The jury members for the 2025 Acko Drive Best of Show included renowned journalists like Yogendra Pratap, Renuka Kirpalani, Hani Musthafa and the Acko Drive editorial team.
