VinFast made a big debut at the Auto Expo with multiple cars and electric scooters on display.

VinFast, a Vietnamese carmaker has finally made its debut in India, and for that, it won the New Brand Debut Honour at the Acko Drive Best Of Show At Auto Expo 2025. Previously the award was bagged by the likes of Triumph India, Kia India, MG Motor India, and more. Acko Drive’s editor-in-chief, Siddharth Vinayak Patankar, has been key in organising the awards where we recognise the best candidates at the Auto Expos. Alongside him, the jury included eminent names like Yogendra Pratap, Renuka Kirpalani, Hani Musthafa and members of the Acko Drive team.

VinFast had a big pavilion at the Auto Expo 2025.

The brand not only came to India, it also brought along a lot of products, including SUVs, electric scooters and a concept pick-up truck. VinFast announced that it will be launching two new models in India, the VF6 and VF7 this year. It also plans to bring more cars, e-scooters and buses in India. VinFast will also offer a battery-as-a-service subscription model and invest in charging stations across the country to improve the infrastructure.

It also showcased some of its electric two-wheelers.

VinFast says it is not in India just for selling cars, rather it wants to establish itself as a key player.  While it says the prices of its cars will be competitive, it wants to focus on bringing quality products and services to the Indian market.
