We brought lists of all the EVs and SUVs coming to India next year, and now we bring you all the hatchbacks, sedans and sportscars coming to our market in 2024. The list ranges from humble Maruti Suzukis and goes all the way to the luxurious McLarens and Maseratis.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

Expected Launch: Early 2024

Swift

Starting off this list is probably the most anticipated vehicle of 2024, which isn’t an SUV, is the fourth-gen Swift. Showcased at Japan Mobility Show 2023, the new Swift gets a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine but will be slightly different in terms of features compared to the international model.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire

Expected Launch: Mid 2024

Next

While not much is known about the upcoming, fourth-gen Dzire, it will certainly share many components with the aforementioned Swift. Expect the Dzire to also have the new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and a similar features list as the fourth-gen Swift.

BMW 5 Series

Expected Launch: Late 2024

BMW

BMW’s executive sedan is now in its eighth generation and also gets an all-electric avatar called the i5. Both versions will be coming to India but as of now, it’s unclear which internal combustion engine (ICE) versions of the new 5 Series will be hitting the domestic market.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Expected Launch: Late 2024

Mercedes

Mercedes-Benz’s newly introduced sixth-gen E-Class will also be coming to India but will only come in its long-wheelbase guise late next year. It continues to look like a mini-Maybach with the greenhouse extending beyond the stretched rear doors.

Citroen C3X

Expected Launch: Mid 2024

Citroen

Citroen in India currently only sells four SUVs and its fifth offering will be a high-riding compact sedan. Like the other models with the same name, the C3, eC3 and C3 Aircross, the C3X will be based on Stellantis’ common modular platform (CMP) and is likely to get the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine.

Porsche Panamera

Expected Launch: Late 2024

Porsche

Porsche’s only ICE sedan now enters its third generation and its various digital enhancements. Key upgrades include the Porsche Active Ride suspension, integration of a digital ecosystem, driver assistance systems and a driver-centric interior.

Lotus Emira

Expected Launch: Early 2024

Lotus

Lotus’ second product in India, following the Eletre, will be the Emira sportscar. The Emira will be available with two engine options – an AMG-sourced, 361 bhp, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine and a Toyota-sourced, 400 bhp, 3.5-litre, V6 petrol engine. Only the V6 engine comes with the option of a 6-speed manual gearbox.

McLaren 750S

Expected Launch: Mid 2024

McLaren

A replacement to the venerable 720s, the McLaren 750s is more of an evolutionary than a revolutionary change. It gets a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine churning out 740 bhp and 800 Nm. McLaren claims a 0-100 kmph time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 332 kmph. It is available as a coupe and a hardtop convertible called the 750S Spider.

Maserati GranTurismo

Expected Launch: Mid 2024

Maserati

Maserati’s quintessential sportscar is the GranTurismo and it will come to India next year along with its all-electric sibling, the GranTurismo Folgore. The ICE version gets the same 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine as the MC20 supercar. Maserati claims a 0-100 kmph time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 302 kmph.

Mercedes-AMG GT

Expected Launch: Mid 2024

Mercedes-AMG

Mercedes-Benz has a bunch of launches planned for next year and Mercedes-AMG will be launching its flagship supercar as well. It is essentially a hard-top version of the new SL, so it has the same 2+2 seating layout, a departure from its predecessor.  The new AMG GT is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 469 bhp in the 55 4Matic+ guise and 576 bhp in the 63 4Matic+ avatar.
