Altigreen NeEV Tez Electric Three-Wheeler Launched

Altigreen, a commercial vehicle manufacturer, launched the neEV Tez electric three-wheeler in New Delhi. Developed in conjunction with Exponent Energy, the neEV Tez is claimed to be the fastest charging three-wheeler in the country. This electric three-wheeler supports three types of charging – normal, fast and rapid. 

Exponent Energy is the battery and charging solutions provider for Altigreen’s latest product. Using the company’s proprietary technology (e^pump charger, e^plug charging port and e^pack battery), the neEV Tez can be charged from 0-100 per cent in just 15 minutes. Altigreen and Exponent Energy claim that when using a Bharat DC001 EV charger, the three-wheeler can be fully charged in up to an hour and it takes around 3.5 hours for it to be fully charged using a 16A AC socket. 

Today, Altigreen also delivered 200 neEV Tez electric three-wheelers to one of its biggest client, Magenta Mobility, as a part of the 1000 vehicle memorandum of association (MOU) signed between the two firms. 

Altigreen also claims that the neEV Tez will help business reduce their cost and increase revenue as the three-wheeler allows for more operating time with its fast charging capabilities. 

The neEV Tez electric three-wheeler first made its debut in Bengaluru in March 2023 and has sold more than 300 units since. Exponent Enegry mentioned that in the past six months, they have set up more than 30 e^pump fast chargers across the city. In the Delhi NCR region, the energy company aims to open more than 50 of its proprietary fast chargers by March 2024 and and 150 such charging locations by the end of next year. 

Altigreen is Exponent Energy’s first client to use its proprietary battery and charging solutions. Exponent claims that it is cell agnostic and uses lithium-ion cells giving a warranty of up to 3,000 charging cycles.
