The new Fire TV Stick 4K has several premium upgrades over previous models.
Amazon has launched the third generation Fire TV Stick 4K in India as its most powerful streaming device yet. The e-commerce giant unveiled the first-generation Fire TV Stick 4K globally in 2021 and has now brought the third-generation streaming stick to India.
The new Fire TV Stick 4K has several premium upgrades over previous models. It features a more powerful 1.7GHz quad-core processor that delivers up to 30% higher performance than older Fire TV devices. This enhanced processing power allows faster app loading and smoother streaming of 4K content.
The Fire TV Stick 4K also supports the new WiFi 6 standard for lag-free streaming, even over congested networks. Backed by 2GB of memory, it can seamlessly stream multiple applications simultaneously without crashes. In addition, the new Fire TV Stick 4K provides access to over 12,000 apps like Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, SonyLIV, and JioCinema.
The rest of the features remain the same as the previous generation, including support for Dolby Vision HDR imaging and Dolby Atmos surround sound. This allows compatible content to be streamed with enhanced brightness, contrast range, and three-dimensional sound.
Like the previous generation, the new Fire TV Stick ships with the redesigned Alexa Voice Remote. It has dedicated buttons for popular OTT apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and Amazon Music.
Priced at Rs 5,999, the all-new Fire TV Stick 4K is available for pre-order on Amazon.in, and will start shipping from May 13. It will also be available at online and offline stores of Croma, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales from May 13.
