Ampere's network has grown from around 300 Experience Centres more than a year ago to over 600.

Ampere has added more than 50 new Experience Centres across 15 states ahead of the Navratri festive period as the electric two-wheeler maker steps up its retail and service network expansion, the company announced on Thursday.

According to the mobility arm of Greaves Cotton Ltd, the expansion will bring its products, sales and service offerings closer to customers. Ampere's network has grown from around 300 Experience Centres more than a year ago to over 600, with the company targeting more than 1,000 touchpoints by the end of 2026. This would nearly triple its network in just over a year.

India's electric two-wheeler market is entering a new phase, with penetration nearing 11 per cent and consumer acceptance continuing to increase. A wider choice of products, improving technology and stronger value propositions are making electric scooters both aspirational and practical for everyday mobility.

As adoption increases, Ampere said physical access to products, customer experience and after-sales support will become increasingly important. The company's network expansion is aimed at addressing these requirements at scale.

“Building a nationwide network of Experience Centers is a critical pillar of Ampere’s aggressive growth journey. We are moving with speed - from around 300 Experience Centers just over a year ago to 600+ today and more than 1,000 by the end of this year. This near tripling of our footprint reflects the scale of our ambition and our commitment to bring product experience, sales and dependable service closer to customers in every priority market. Under our ‘Built for Bharat’ approach, we are creating not merely a larger distribution network, but a strong and trusted ownership ecosystem for India’s rapidly expanding electric mobility market," Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility, said in a statement.

The expanded network will give customers direct access to Ampere's range of electric scooters catering to different requirements and use cases.

The portfolio includes the Ampere Nexus EX+, powered by a new 5 kW motor; Magnus GMax, which combines everyday practicality with connected technology; Magnus Neo, designed for city riding; and the recently launched Ampere Reo Vyb, aimed at younger riders.

The Nexus EX+ and Magnus GMax are also offered with “Intellipack”, which provides more than 30 intelligent convenience features.

The Nexus platform has demonstrated its real-world capability through a series of long-distance and high-altitude drives. It has covered the 70 hairpin bends of Kolli Hills, reached Shipki La Pass at 13,200 ft and completed a more than 4,000-km east-to-west endurance ride across India.

The portfolio uses next-generation LFP battery technology. Ampere offers up to a five-year or 75,000-km standard battery warranty, while battery life is stated to be up to 2,00,000 km.
