Ampere Launches Reo VYB Electric Scooter At ₹69,499

Greaves Electric Mobility has expanded its entry-level electric two-wheeler portfolio with the launch of the Reo VYB under its Ampere brand, priced at ₹69,499 (introductory). The model is aimed at urban commuters and first-time electric vehicle buyers and will be offered in four colour options: Warm White, Pastel Purple, Dark Grey and Aqua Metallic.

The Reo VYB is equipped with a Lithium Ferro Phosphate battery and delivers a claimed range of up to 80 km on a single charge. Classified as a low-speed scooter, it has a top speed of 25 kmph and does not require a driving licence or registration under current regulations.

The company states that the battery is engineered for a lifespan of up to 1,00,000 km.

Ampere said the Reo VYB will be supported by a network of over 400 service touchpoints across the country. The scooter is offered with a warranty of three years or 30,000 km.

With this launch, we strengthen our promise to build products that address real-world mobility needs," Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility, said in a statement.

The scooter is equipped with a colour LCD display, keyless start enabled through a key fob, a front disc brake and LED lighting for both headlamp and tail lamp. It also offers 24 litres of under-seat storage. Suspension is handled by telescopic front forks and a rear damper, while a hub-mounted motor provides propulsion.
