The updated scooter adds an IP65-rated charger and offers an optional Intellipack connected feature suite.

Ampere has launched the Nexus EX+, an updated version of its Nexus electric scooter, with a more powerful motor, a water-resistant charger and the option of connected features through its Ampere Connect App.The new 5 kW motor produces a peak 202 Nm of torque at the wheel. Ampere says the Nexus EX+ can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 4.5 seconds, with stronger pick-up and improved ability to handle steep roads, flyovers and heavier loads. The scooter also gets an IP65-rated charger, designed to offer added protection in varied weather conditions.

Buyers can choose between two variants. The Nexus EX+ is priced at ₹1,29,999, while the Nexus EX+ with Intellipack costs ₹1,35,999. Both are available in Carbon Knight and Steel Grey.

Intellipack is Ampere’s connected feature suite, accessed through the Ampere Connect App. It offers more than 30 features, including live tracking, geo-fencing, Find My Scooter, turn-by-turn navigation, remote diagnostics, trip reports, charging status and battery health information.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility, said, “The Nexus has consistently demonstrated Ampere’s focus on purposeful innovation, durability and real-world performance. With the launch of the new Nexus EX+, we are strengthening this award-winning EV platform with IoT-enabled Intellipack, stronger performance and greater everyday confidence. Intellipack makes ownership smarter and more convenient, while the 5 kW motor enhances pick-up and gradeability across flyovers, hilly roads, pillion riding and load-bearing conditions. The IP65-rated charger further adds to the product’s reliability across varied weather conditions. This is another step in building electric scooters that are practical, resilient and aligned with the evolving needs of Indian riders.”

The Ampere Nexus EX+ uses LFP battery technology. Ampere says the battery is designed for a life of up to 2,00,000 km, and the scooter comes with a five-year or 75,000 km battery warranty. The company says the long-life battery and lower running costs can help improve the scooter’s total cost of ownership.
