Ampere NXG will be launching pretty soon. Before that, the electric scooter is attempting a record a 5,100km journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. This is usually done to show how strong and tough the product is. It's a chance for the brand to film and showcase the scooter's features, power, and performance in real-world situations, adding credibility. We expect the official launch announcement to occur after the said ride.
Details that have come out on the website include a pre-booking token of ₹499, which is refundable. NXG is expected to be a performance scooter for the Ampere lineup. Prices are expected to be higher than the Ampere Primus, which is priced at ₹1.46 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Ampere NXG will have four riding modes, but details about what they exactly do are yet to be released. The scooter features a mid-mounted motor and belt drive. The underpinnings include a telescopic front fork and dual rear springs. Stopping power is provided by a front disc and rear drum brake setup.
The Ampere NXG features a large TFT display with multiple modes and smartphone connectivity, providing call and SMS alerts, music control, and navigation. The e-scooter includes an LED headlight with apron-mounted turn indicators. The battery pack is confirmed to be located below the rider's seat, as revealed in the teaser. The flat footboard compensates for the space that might be taken up by the battery, and it also boasts a spacious single-piece seat.
