Apollo Tyres stated in its filing that the order has no material impact on the company's finances or operations.
Apollo Tyres received an order from the Joint Commissioner of Customs at Nhava Sheva on 27 October 2025 regarding a dispute over anti-dumping duty payments. The order demanded payment of anti-dumping duty along with a penalty and fine totalling ₹12.69 lakh under the Customs Act, 1962.
The customs authority alleged that Apollo Tyres had made a short payment of anti-dumping duty on imported materials. The company disclosed the matter to stock exchanges on 28 October 2025 in accordance with SEBI regulations. Apollo Tyres stated in its filing that the order has no material impact on the company's finances or operations.

The company plans to file an appeal before the Appellate Authority to contest the demand and penalties imposed. This course of action follows the company's standard procedure for addressing regulatory matters through official channels.
The ₹12.69 lakh penalty is a fraction of Apollo Tyres' operations, given the company's market capitalisation of over ₹32,000 crore. The tyre manufacturer operates production facilities across India and serves both original equipment manufacturers and the replacement market.
Apollo Tyres shares showed minimal reaction to the customs order announcement. Over the past week from 21 to 28 October, the stock declined by 1.08 per cent, closing at ₹504.50 on 28 October compared to ₹510.00 on 21 October. The week saw the stock trade between a high of ₹529.80 and a low of ₹497.10.
On 27 October, when the customs order was received, the stock opened at ₹500.00 and closed at ₹505.55. The following day, 28 October, the stock opened at ₹513.00 with a closing price of ₹504.50, reflecting a dip of 1.05 points in intraday value. Trading volume on 28 October reached 33.53 lakh shares, indicating heightened investor activity following the disclosure.
Apollo Tyres will pursue the appeal process to resolve the matter with the customs authority in the coming weeks.
