Ashok Leyland Expands LCV Network in Karnataka With New Dealership

Ashok Leyland has strengthened its Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) network in Karnataka with the opening of a new dealership in Raichur, thus, taking its total LCV dealerships in the state to 12. The new outlet, operated by channel partner SB Motors LLP, is a 3S facility covering sales, service and spares. Located at Mukram Gunj in Raichur, the dealership has seven service bays and is equipped with advanced tools and supporting infrastructure.

The expansion comes at a time when as Ashok Leyland continues to widen its LCV reach across the country.

The company currently has more than 945 LCV customer touchpoints, with a broad distribution and after-sales network for its small commercial vehicle portfolio.

Karnataka remains an important market for Ashok Leyland’s LCV business, with the company offering products across several commercial applications. Its current range includes the Saathi, Dost, Bada Dost and Partner, along with the MiTR bus range.

The company said more than six lakh Ashok Leyland LCVs are currently operating across India. Its portfolio caters to a range of transport requirements, including inter-city, intra-city and last-mile applications.

Ashok Leyland’s LCV range is manufactured at its Hosur facility in Tamil Nadu. The plant produces the Saathi, Bada Dost, Dost and Partner, as well as the MiTR bus.

The addition of the Raichur outlet gives customers in the region access to sales, servicing and spare parts through a single facility. For commercial vehicle operators, the availability of local service infrastructure is particularly important given the role vehicle uptime plays in fleet utilisation and operating economics.

The company’s focus will now be on building further coverage around its existing network while supporting its growing installed base of LCVs across Karnataka and other markets.
