Ashok Leyland has unveiled its next-generation compact engines — P15 and H4 Unipack — at EXCON 2025, which is scheduled to be held between December 9 and 13 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). Both engines fully comply with the latest CEV Stage V emission norms, offering a new benchmark in performance, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

P15 Engine Specs

The newly-launched P15 engine is designed for compact construction equipment such as skid-steer loaders, mini compactors, sweepers, and forklifts. This power mill is available in two configurations: 49 hp and 55 hp. Engineered for strong pulling power within a lightweight architectural footprint, the P15 provides an optimal balance of performance and fuel efficiency.

Customers can also opt for a high-speed non-emission variant operating up to 3300 rpm for applications requiring faster cycle times. Additionally, a CNG-powered variant is available to support businesses transitioning toward cleaner and more sustainable fuel options.

H4 Unipack Engine Specs

Complementing the P15, Ashok Leyland also introduced the H4 Unipack engine in 55 HP and 74 HP output levels. Tailored for demanding applications such as backhoe loaders, the H4 series is built for reliability in extreme working conditions. Its standout capabilities include dependable cold starts and high-altitude performance of up to 5,500 meters. Fully compliant with CEV Stage V norms, the H4 Unipack brings durability and operational resilience to customers operating in rugged industrial environments.

Future-Ready Technologies

Besides the compact engine series, the Hinduja Group subsidiary also showcased an extended range of advanced power solutions at EXCON 2025. Highlights included the A6 Series 380 HP CRS engine for heavy-duty use, the H6 Series hydrogen and flexi-fuel engines, and an 82.5 kVA diesel genset. The company also displayed its Compact Flex Exhaust After-Treatment System (EATS) for Stage V applications and innovative airless DEF tank solutions aimed at reducing maintenance complexity.
