Ather 450X is available with two battery options: 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh, offering a range of 126 km and 161 km, respectively.
Ather Energy has announced the rollout of its new cruise control feature on the Ather 450X, further expanding its software-led feature set across the 450 platform. Named Infinity Cruise, this feature is being introduced via an over-the-air (OTA) update and will be available as a standard offering on all 450X and 450 Apex models. Riders will be notified of the update directly through the scooter’s dashboard interface.
Infinite Cruise was first showcased on the Apex 450 at the Ather Community Day in August 2025. Unlike conventional cruise control systems designed for steady highway speeds, Infinite Cruise has been engineered specifically for Indian urban riding conditions, where scooters typically operate at lower speeds amid dense traffic and frequent speed variations.

The system remains active even when the rider brakes or accelerates, recalibrating automatically to the new speed without requiring reactivation. This persistent operation is aimed at reducing throttle input and rider fatigue during stop-and-go city commutes. The cruise control function from Ather operates between 10 kmph and 90 kmph, covering speeds that are traditionally outside the scope of standard cruise control systems.
The cruise control feature integrates three key riding aids: CityCruise, Hill Control, and Crawl Control. CityCruise adapts to fluctuating traffic speeds, while Hill Control maintains a consistent pace on inclines and descents by compensating for load changes and using regenerative braking through Ather’s Magic Braking Algorithm. Crawl Control supports stable low-speed movement on rough or uneven surfaces and works alongside Multimode Traction Control to enhance grip on wet or slippery roads.

As part of its focus on improving ownership experience, Ather will also roll out the Infinite Cruise to over 44,000 existing 450X customers who purchased their scooters from 1 January 2025 onwards. This backward compatibility has been enabled through long-term product planning and hardware choices made during the development of the 2025 450 series
Paired with features such as Multimode Traction Control and Magic Twist, Infinite Cruise is designed to make city riding safer, more engaging, and less tiring. The Ather 450X is currently priced between ₹1.48 lakh and ₹1.59 lakh (ex-showroom).
