At the launch of the Q8 facelift, Audi India also showcased the next product it has lined up to launch in India. Shown in India for the first time, the Q6 e-tron is all set to be launched in India in early 2025. The German marque will first launch the Q6 e-tron quattro, followed by the SQ6 e-tron sometime later.
The Q6 e-tron series is based on Audi’s new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture that has been developed in conjunction with Porsche. It packs a 100 kWh battery that has a claimed range of up to 625 km. The 800-volt battery supports up to 270 kW DC fast charging with which Audi claims the Q6 e-tron can gain a range of around 255 km in 10 minutes. At the front, the electric SUV gets the Matrix LED headlights has 12 segments that can dim up and down to create a new light signature, while the same is replicated at the back using digital OLED lights.
Inside, the Q6 e-tron’s dashboard is dominated by three displays. Front and centre is a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen that is housed in the same binnacle as the 11.9-inch virtual instrument cluster. The front passenger gets a 10.9-inch screen with privacy mode to avoid distractions for the driver. The Q6 e-tron also comes with ADAS features like rear parking assist, cruise control, lane departure warning, efficiency assist, active front assist as well as a distraction and drowsiness warning system.
The Q6 e-tron is expected to be priced around ₹79 - 89 lakh (ex-showroom, India), while the SQ6 e-tron could cross the ₹1 crore (ex-showroom, India) mark.
