The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure slots above the standard R 1300 GS with several add-on features, which takes the capabilities of the adventure bike to another level.
BMW Motorrad has launched the R 1300 GS Adventure in India at ₹22.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it one of the most premium adventure offerings on sale in our country. It slots above the R 1300 GS, therefore it comes packed with several additional features which takes the capabilities of the adventure bike to another level.
For starters, the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure’s boxy design is not without purpose. For there’s a massive 30-litre fuel tank hiding underneath. This helps its case with longer range, but that also comes at the cost of some additional kilos. While it continues to be powered by the same 145 bhp twin-cylinder boxer engine, BMW has optimised the knock sensor system that helps keep the bike away from stalling in varied conditions.
Similarly, there are numerous features that are unique to the R 1300 GS Adventure only. These include its all-LED AUX light, dynamic cruise control that is radar based and it gets you front and rear collision warning. Meanwhile, BMW’s Telelever and Pralever EVO suspension unit comes with Dynamic Suspension Adjustment as standard. Along with that, heated grips and keyless ignition start is also available as standard with the new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure.
At ₹22.95 lakh (ex-showroom,Delhi), there’s no doubting the fact that the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure is a premium affair. In this price range, it will have the likes of the Ducati Multistrada V4 and the Triumph Tiger 1200’s as its two big competition.
