The Creta Electric is available in four trims – Executive, Smart, Premium and Excellence
At the Auto Expo 2025, Hyundai Motor India launched the much-awaited Creta Electric at ₹17.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Creta Electric, as the name suggests, is the electrified version of the brand’s best-selling model, the Creta. The Creta Electric is available in four trims – Executive, Smart, Premium and Excellence. The Smart trim is further segregated into Smart and Smart (O) priced at ₹18.99 lakh and ₹19.49 lakh or ₹21.50 lakh. The top two trim are priced at ₹20 lakh and ₹23.50 lakh (all ex-showroom price, Delhi)
The Creta Electric is available with two battery packs – a 42 kWh and a 51.4 kWh. The former has a claimed range of 390 km, while the latter can do 473 km (claimed) on a full charge. Both support 50 kW DC fast charging and take 58 minutes to charge from 10- 80 per cent. With an 11 kW AC charger, the smaller battery pack takes 4 hours to charge while the larger one takes 4 hours and 50 minutes.
Hyundai’s compact electric SUV with the smaller battery pack produces 133 bhp, while with the larger one, it churns out 169 bhp. The torque figure is identical with both battery packs, 255 Nm, which helps propel the Creta Electric from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.9 seconds (claimed). It comes with a single-motor setup, housed on the front axle and gets disc brakes on all four wheels.
Cosmetically, the Creta Electric doesn’t look very different apart from the fact that it gets the N Line body kit, a closed-off grille with pixel design, a different design for the 17-inch alloy wheels and a new Ocean Blue colour. The Creta Electric gets 10 colour options which include two dual-tone colours and three matte colours.
Inside too, it’s not very different compared to the standard Creta. However, it gets a new floating centre console as the gear shifter has moved to the steering wheel column. Speaking of which, the Creta Electric also gets a new steering wheel that has the Morse Code for H instead of the Hyundai logo. Other features include two 10.25-inch screens, connected car tech, panoramic sunroof, ADAS, ventilated seats, chauffeur mode, tray tables for the rear passengers and EV-specific graphics in the infotainment touchscreen and virtual instrument cluster. Hyundai said it has improved the safety of the Creta Electric with a more robust structure, six airbags, ABS with EBD, three-point seatbelts with reminders, stability control and more.
The Creta Electric rivals the Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curvv.ev, MG ZS EV and the recently showcased Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.
