While Honda’s sales saw year-on-year growth, it witnessed almost 25 per cent decline compared to June 2024.
Honda Car India registered total sales of 7,334 units in July 2024, witnessing a year-on-year (YoY) growth of nearly 28 per cent. However, compared to June 2024, it registered a YoY decline of almost 25 per cent.

Domestic sales accounted for 4,624 units, a YoY decline of 5 per cent. Similarly, exports for Honda tallied 2,710 units which is a 143 per cent increase compared to July 2023. However, when compared to June 2024, domestic sales and exports declined by 3 per cent and 45 per cent, respectively.
Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India, said, “Despite the challenges in the market and subdued customer sentiment, our sales momentum was in line with our expectations. We have been focusing on creating fresh demand through attractive benefits, making it the best time for customers to buy new cars. With the festive season approaching, we anticipate a positive sentiment, which should lead to strong sales momentum in the coming months. HCIL’s steady growth in exports has boosted confidence in Indian manufacturing, reaffirming our commitment to delivering best-in-class products.”

Currently, Honda Car India has three products in its portfolio – Elevate, City and Amaze. While the Elevate and City facelift was launched in India in 2023, the Amaze is due to receive a new generation in India soon. Expect the third-generation subcompact sedan to launch in India later this year.
