A standout aspect of Maruti Suzuki’s June performance was its export operations. The company shipped 37,842 units overseas in June 2025, registering a substantial rise from 31,033 units exported in the same month last year. This marks the highest monthly export figure ever recorded by the company.
Sales to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) stood at 8,812 units, a modest increase from 8,277 units in June 2024. Light commercial vehicle sales, comprising the Super Carry, were slightly lower at 2,433 units, compared to 2,758 units a year ago.

For the April to June 2025 quarter, Maruti Suzuki reported total sales of 527,861 units, marginally higher than the 521,868 units sold during the same period in the previous financial year. Domestic sales, however, fell from 419,114 units to 393,572 units. The export volume for the quarter jumped to 96,972 units, up from 70,560—a 37.4% increase.
Rahul Bharti, Senior Executive Officer, Corporate Affairs, Maruti Suzuki, said, "The slowdown in passenger vehicle sales is largely due to a sharp decline in the smaller segment cars. Historically, passenger vehicle sales used to grow at 1.5 times the GDP growth. But now even after 6.5 per cent GDP growth, the car market is nearly flattish. This is because the once mass small car segment is not participating in the growth at all. This is clearly an affordability issue. Since 2019, entry-level price point in the industry has jumped by over 70 per cent, largely driven by stricter regulations and the sales of smaller cars have fallen by over 70 per cent."
