Auto Sales March 2024: Mahindra Reports 13 Per Cent Growth, Exports Drop

The exports dropped by 26 per cent in March 2024.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), announced that its overall auto sales for March 2024 stood at 68,413 vehicles, a growth of 4 per cent, while exports dropped by 26 per cent. In the Utility Vehicles segment, Mahindra sold 40,631 vehicles in the domestic market, a growth of 13 per cent and overall, 41,161 vehicles. The domestic sales for commercial vehicles stood at 20,930.

Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., said, “We ended the financial year F24 on a positive note with Mahindra PikUps crossing 2 lakh units during the year, which is the highest ever for any commercial vehicle in the load segment in India. In March, we sold 40,631 SUVs, with a growth of 13% and 68,413 total vehicles, a 4% growth over last year.”

For the 2023-24 fiscal, Mahindra reported 4,59,877 units compared to 3,59,253 units in the same period last quarter, a growth of 28 per cent. The Utility Vehicles contributed 4,59,864 units, 29 per cent better than the 3,56,961 units registered in the same period last year. The sales for electric 3-wheelers dropped by 7 per cent as the company recorded 5279 units compared to 5697 units in the same period last year.
