The company's exports grew by 50%
In October 2024, Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold a total of 206,434 units, which is its highest ever monthly sales volume. Total sales in the month include domestic sales of 163,130 units, sales to other OEM of 10,136 units and the highest ever monthly exports of 33,168 units. However, overall passenger car sales in the domestic market plunged by 5 per cent year-on-year.
However, where Maruti Suzuki gained traction is in the ‘Sales to Other OEMs’ (Toyota) and the Export columns. The company posted over 90% growth in the first while the export figures rose by 51 per cent. The company’s LCV sales dipped marginally though.
The company is all set to launch the new generation of the Dzire in November and with that is expected to renew interest in the segment.
