MG Motor India sold 4,769 units last month, 36 per cent of which were EV sales.
MG Motor India sold 4,769 units in May 2024, witnessing a five per cent downtick compared to the same period last year. The marque said it achieved this sales figure despite the challenging market environment. However, MG registered a six per cent month-on-month growth in sales compared to April 2024.
Electric vehicles (EVs) comprised 36 per cent of MG’s sales in May 2024 and the ZS EV remains the best-selling EV for the brand. Furthermore, MG ZS EV also achieved its highest-ever monthly sales figure last month since it was launched in January 2020.
MG Motor India currently has the Comet, ZS EV, Astor, Hector, Hector Plus and Gloster in its portfolio. To celebrate its centenary, MG Motor India launched the 100-Year Limited Edition of the Comet, Astor, ZS EV, Hector and Hector Plus and are offered in an exclusive ‘Evergreen’ colour scheme.
