Even on a month-on-month basis, Suzuki India sold an impressive 12.37 per cent more two-wheelers.
Suzuki India’s cumulative sales grew by 16 per cent last month by retailing 1,28,896 units, compared to 1,11,512 units sold in May 2024. Out of which, 1,07,780 units were retailed in the domestic market which was 17 per cent more than the 92,032 units it retailed in May 2024. Meanwhile, its export business grew by 8 per cent with 21,116 units exported, compared to the 19,480 exports it did in the corresponding month last year.
Suzuki India’s steady growth last month comes on the back of healthy sales growth in April 2025, wherein the brand recorded a year-on-year growth of 14 per cent. So, when compared to sales of April 2025, Suzuki sold a further 12.37 per cent more two-wheelers in May 2025. “Our performance this month reinforces the positive market sentiment towards Suzuki’s offerings and sets the tone for what lies ahead,” noted Deepak Mutreja, Vice President – Sales, Marketing, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd.
The Suzuki Access 125 continues to rake in the most sales volume for the brand in the country. It was updated recently to include a new Ride Connect TFT edition that is slated to up the scooter’s ante as a more premium offering at a very good price point. However, its debut all-electric offering, the e-Access reserves the potential to be a major game changer. We had ridden the scooter briefly last week and you can learn all about it in our first ride review video below:
Suzuki also anticipates that demand for its product will further increase from here on. To that extent it laid the foundation stone for a brand new manufacturing plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana, last month with a capital outlay of ₹1,200 crore. This plant will have an annual capacity of 7.5 lakh units in the first phase of production that is scheduled to start operating from 2027 onwards. “As we move ahead, we continue to focus on delivering consistent value to our customers through reliable products and dependable after sales support,” concluded Mutreja.
