Maruti Suzuki India released its monthly sales for November 2023, revealing a notable performance. In November 2023, Maruti Suzuki India Limited recorded a total sales figure of 164,439 units, compared to 159,044 units sold in November 2022, a growth of 3.39 per cent, while the total domestic sales (including LCV) stood at 136,667 units, as compared to 135,055 units from the same month last year, a difference of 1.19 per cent. Maruti Suzuki also increased the number of units sold to other OEMs, to 4,822 units from 4,251 units, an increase of 13.43 per cent.
The Mini and Compact sub-segments, encompassing models such as Maruti Suzuki Alto, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Maruti Suzuki Tour S, and Maruti Suzuki WagonR, collectively contributed 74,638 units in November 2023, compared to 91,095 units sold in November 2022, a degrowth of 18.07 per cent.
The mid-size category, represented by the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, added 278 units to the overall passenger car sales, culminating in a total of 74,916 units for the segment. Moving to utility vehicles, models including Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Maruti Suzuki Invicto, Maruti Suzuki Jimny, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, and Maruti Suzuki XL6 collectively accounted for 49,016 units, from 32,563 units sold in November 2022, a hike of 50.53 per cent.
In the van category, the Eeco model saw 10,226 units in sales, contributing to the overall domestic passenger vehicle sales figure of 134,158 units in November. The Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) category, represented by the Super Carry model, recorded 2,509 units in sales, adding to the broader domestic sales, which reached 136,667 units when including both passenger vehicles and LCVs.
