Renault is hoping for positive headwinds, especially with the launch of the all-new Duster in February 2026.
Renault has started to show signs of recovery in the Indian passenger vehicle market. The French carmaker registered a wholesale of 4,672 units for October 2025, marking a 21 percent year-on-year growth as compared to 3,861 units sold in October last year. Renault claims to have outpaced the industry’s overall growth rate of 17.3 percent for the month.
In September 2025, Renault recorded a monthly volume of 4,265 units, thus leading to a month-on-month growth of 9.54 percent in October. Not just wholesale, but Renault also witnessed growth in Vahan registrations during the same period. According to Vahaan data, Renault recorded retail sales of 5,041 units in October 2025, translating to a 12.7 percent growth over the same period last year.

Renault attributes the growth in sales to the successful launch of the updated Triber and Kiger. For the uninitiated, Renault had launched facelifted models of Triber and Kiger in the country earlier this year. Both these models are offered at a starting price of Rs 5.76 lakh (ex-showroom). These new launches have been aided by the revised GST structure and the abolition of cess from all vehicles.
Speaking on the company’s strong sales performance, Francisco Hidalgo, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Renault India, said, “October recorded a notable upswing in sales, driven by overwhelming customer response to the newly launched Triber and Kiger. The models have captured strong interest across urban and rural markets alike, reflecting renewed consumer confidence and vibrant demand during the festive season. We are confident this encouraging momentum will continue in the months ahead.”
Renault is expected to witness a strong surge in sales, sustaining its growth momentum in the coming months. The company is gearing up to launch its most highly anticipated vehicle in recent times, the all-new Duster. Renault has already teased the same along with its tentative day of launch on, i.e., 26 January 2026. Upon launch, the Renault Duster will lock horns with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, and Volkswagen Taigun to name a few.
