Bajaj Chetak Gets New Tech Upgrades: Google Maps, Faster Charging & More

Bajaj Auto has updated its popular Chetak electric scooter range with a host of new features. Alongside that, the company has also streamlined Chetak’s nomenclature by introducing the ‘C Series’ prefix. The portfolio now comprises the C 35, C 30, and C 25 series.

The flagship C 35 01 model now features integrated Google Maps navigation within the Chetak App. This addition addresses a key consumer demand for a familiar and reliable navigation experience directly on the scooter’s interface.

Furthermore, the flagship and its variant, the C 35 02, will now receive software updates Over the Air. This allows owners to benefit from performance optimisations and new features remotely, removing the requirement for frequent service centre visits for digital maintenance.

Performance across the entire range has seen a notable boost. The top speed for the C 35 01 and C 35 02 has been increased to 80 km/h, up from the previous 73 km/h. The C 35 03 and C 30 01 models now reach 70 km/h, while the entry-level C 25 01 sees its top speed rise to 60 km/h. To support these gains, the motor output for the flagship model has been raised to 4.8 kW.

Bajaj has also focused on charging efficiency and value. The charging time for the C 30 01 has been reduced by nearly an hour, now requiring only 2 hours and 55 minutes to reach an 80% charge. In a move to enhance rider convenience, features such as Hill Hold Assist and dedicated Ride Modes (Sports and Eco), which were previously available as paid add-ons, are now included as standard equipment on both the C 35 and C 30 series.
